July Perth
This July store takes its cues from the unmistakable warmth of Perth’s year-round sunshine. The store is conceived as an immersive response to that uniquely local quality, being bathed in light, even in the cooler months. A circular form anchors the design, echoing both the curvature of the site’s façade and the enduring symbol of the sun overhead.
Material selections evoke a distinctly Perth summer. A pebble-crete floor subtly nods to the city’s long, sandy beaches, while alternating timber veneer plinths abstract the familiar rhythm of a beach towel laid in the sun. Timber shutters recall the textures of classic coastal architecture, grounding the space in a language that feels both nostalgic and enduringly local.
